South Africa 1944-1946 King George VI Officials 1½d. blue-green and yellow-buff.  North West corner bilingual block of 12.  Overprint reading downwards with ‘Official’ at right.  Varieties, ‘First overprint Forme, with diaeresis over second “E” of “OFFISIEEL” but without diaeresis on second stamp of Rows 1, 2 and 3 only, where that word measures 16.5mm.  The balance of the stamps all have the diaeresis over the second “E” of “OFFISIEEL”‘.  Superb unmounted mint condition.  Philatelic Federation of South Africa Certificate No. 14,719 (2021).  THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING AND EXCEPTIONALLY RARE BLOCK AND AN IMPORTANT ADDITION TO ANY KING GEORGE VI OR RARITIES COLLECTION.  AN EXHIBITION PIECE.  THIS BLOCK IS BELIEVED TO BE UNIQUE.
