Seychelles 1948 (November) King George VI Royal Silver Wedding 5R. carmine. PERFORATED “SPECIMEN”. The preparation and distribution of stamps perforated ‘SPECIMEN’ ceased early in 1948. Only a single example of this stamp was produced by the Printers, Bradbury Wilkinson, for their own Archives. Without gum, as issued and hand stamped ‘BW ARCHIVES’ on reverse. British Philatelic Association Certificate No. 25,378 (1987). THUS, THIS ITEM IS UNIQUE AND AS SUCH, OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE TO ANY KING GEORGE VI COLLECTION.
