SG 1240a 1984 16p. block of 12 with three Imperforate pairs. SUM.

Great Britain Queen Elizabeth II British Cattle – Highland Cow.  16p. grey-black, bistro-yellow, rosine, yellow-orange, new blue and pale drab.  South East corner block of 12 with Traffic Lights in margin.  Error, ‘stamps 5-6, 8-9 and 11-12 are Imperforate (3 pairs)’ with others partially affected’.  Vertical crease/tear affects the block.  Superb unmounted mint condition.  British Philatelic Association Certificate No. 74,227 (2009).  THIS BLOCK CONTAINS THE ONLY UNDAMAGED VERTICAL PAIR OF THE ERROR IN EXISTENCE.  EXCEEDINGLY RARE.
